Last term, we began concept sketches for a logo to run alongside a non-profit, community initiative. Creating Awareness, Respect, and Empowerment (C.A.R.E) is a program executed by A World Without Inc., who are “focused on challenging and preventing violence against women”.

It’s almost patronisingly cute, haha. Not intended at all, but I couldn’t remove myself from the idea of sewing.

Finished rendering of the character from my previous posts. In the end, it was a malign alchemist…or something to that effect. I’m never sure of these things, haha.

Sort of pleased with the result. It was fun to paint it, nonetheless.

This beastie is derived from the vague notion of a ‘master of puppets,’ though it’s turned into something rather different.

During Digital Studio 1 class, we were asked to find a black-and-white photograph, and replicate in Photoshop whoever we saw fit. This was about 1.5 to 2 hours of work.

There are some notable issues with this, and I spent no more than 2 minutes on her hair, but this was just a simple exercise—so I don’t really care~

So, I’ve neglected my tumblr. In months that have seen my tumblog collect dust, I’ve started a Bachelor of Illustration at NMIT. So far, so good! For the first time in my life, I’m actually completing coursework—essays included! (what is this i dont even).

I’m about as happy as Cheese with his beloved chocolate milk. This short animation was made for my girlfriend, who asked for an avatar for a forum. I’ll use this to kick-off the updates. :)

Haven’t been doodling much lately; been too busy playing Skylanders with my girlfriend.

This is something I quickly whipped up late last night. Feel like I’ve borrowed a lot from other artists’ styles, though I don’t recall the names of any artists I’ve mimicked. No way to verify this, then. Oh, well~
